The Chicago Theater

Erika and I got to meet some of the candidates for next years Pageant.
All the girls were very nice and sweet. We shared our experiences with
them and the benefits of being in this Pageant. We did have a nice time
with them. Erika did most of the talking, of course. She's been in this
longer than me. I look forward in working with these young ladies, it
should be fun!!!

MAGNIFICENT SHOWCASE 2010

Wow ! It's been a year already, since my first performance at the CISCO & CISCO
Manificent show case. I performed for the cancer survivors, and it's a pleasure
to be there with them. I rehearsed the whole week, and we arrived there, My song
did not play. The song that I planned that is. However, I did my best with what I had.
After wards, we had a fashion. that was fun, because all the girls got show their pretty
outfits.I alway enjoy being with the Cisco family, It's like being with my own.

MISS TEEN CHICAGO

I was honored to become Miss Teen Chicago, it was an emotional moment for me.
I decided, I was going to work hard to maintain my title, no matter what it takes.
To be a role model to young girls, and to set an example for them, that nothing is
impossible. I wanted to thank my mentor, Mrs.Cisco whom I truly admire, is the
sweetest person I know. Looking up to her, makes me more determined to reach
my goals. I'm very blessed to have her in my life.

Lazy days of Summer

School finished two weeks ago, I was very happy with my grades. My hard work
through out the year, has paid off. I was mentoring and tutoring children at the
American Indian Center, which I will continue for as long as I can. It has become
my platform and my passion. For the summer, I will try to relax and enjoy it.
After all, life is not all work. My priorities are changing and I'm starting to focus,
on what is very important to me, in the long run. For now, is family time, and
fun with the kids !!! Hope everyone haves a great summer !!

Miss Teen Illinois Pageant 2010

I can't believe that a year has passed since the first Pageant. Although, I got sick the
night before, with a fever. I enjoyed myself with the girls. We had girls from all over,
Illinois- our beautiful state. I was so happy when My friend Erica won the Miss Illinois.
She really deserve to win. Erica did a tremendous job. All the girls were very nice and sweet.
I won the title " My own Beauty" and the "Teen Style Award".
I was ok with that, but now is time to get back to reality- Taekwondo. My heart is still set
on the 2012 Olympics in London, England. I'm getting back to training again. But as they
say, the sky is the limit !!

WINDY CITY SHOW DOWN TOURNAMENT

last week was my first tournament this year, I felt a little rusty. I managed to
get first place in forms and first place in sparring. It was a very good tournament,
considering that chicago does not get many. The fighters I fought, were good
competitors, especially gracie. She came from Round lake! I thought I had to travel for some good competition. They made me push myself very hard. We also have to thank Master Hong,
for giving an outstanding tournament. Hopefully, chicago will start to have many more!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!

Wow!! Time is sure flying ! It seem just yesterday we were starting 2009,
and now we are in 2010 !! I'm wishing everyone a happy, healthy and safe
new year. Nothing is promised in this life, and things change from one minute
to another. Each day we get, is a blessing.
